1) Check your drawing size
The drawing size is usually shown in the title block or bottom corner of the drawing. You can also check the PDF page size in Adobe Acrobat Reader under File > Properties > Description.

2) Count the pages, not the PDF files
Please check the total number of drawings you have, as sometimes PDFs can contain more than 1 page. 

3) Place your order
You can upload your files and add any special instructions after payment. 

4) We check your files
Nothing is printed automatically. We check every drawing before printing and will contact you if the size, quantity or instructions are unclear.

File types

• Prices are based on printing from PDF only.
• If you have DWG / DXF files, these cost more and take an extra day to set up. They can change when opened on different computers, so it's better to get them saved as PDFs. Please email us for a custom quote.

Print size and margins

• Plans are printed at the page size in your PDF to preserve the drawing scale. We do not automatically enlarge the artwork or fit it to the page.
• Large-format plan printers do not print edge to edge. Keep important text, dimensions, drawing borders and other details at least 4mm inside the page edge. Anything closer to the edge may be clipped.

Paper and finishing

• Standard 80gsm paper: Printed on white 80gsm paper and machine-folded to A4.
• Plastic paper: Matt white synthetic paper that is tear-resistant and water-resistant while remaining thin and flexible. It can be written on, although whiteboard markers will not wipe off.
• Laminated plans: Printed on 80gsm paper and gloss encapsulated on both sides. These can be written on using permanent or drywipe / whiteboard markers.

Colour and drawing coverage

• Black and white: Printed in greyscale. Pale colours such as blue, green and yellow may reproduce as similar shades of light grey and can be difficult to distinguish.
• Lines, text and light shading refers to the majority of architectural, engineering, and construction plans, which are mostly lines with a 5% ink coverage. 
• Graphics, images and solid areas refers to drawings with higher ink coverage, such as 3D renderings, satellite maps, or photos. These are printed slower at a higher quality.
• This service is intended for technical plans and drawings rather than photographic display printing. For photo-quality artwork or graphics, please order from our poster-printing range.

Turnaround and delivery

• Standard paper plans: Most approved orders are printed and dispatched the same working day. Our usual cut-off for same-day dispatch is 1pm, although later orders may be possible depending on workload.
• Plastic paper and laminated plans: Allow one working day for production.
• Standard delivery is next working day using DPD or Royal Mail Tracked 24. Deliveries to Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands and offshore islands may take longer.
• Same-day courier delivery is available across Greater London and nearby areas. Please email your files, delivery address and deadline before ordering so we can confirm availability and provide a courier price.

Prices per plan on 80gsm paper, excluding VAT

A minimum charge of £1 applies to each plan size ordered.
