Printed foamboard signs are a popular choice for wedding welcome signs, seating plans and large photographs. Foamboard is lightweight, rigid and easy to display on an easel, making it ideal for indoor weddings and events.

Choose the Right Size

• A1 – 594 × 841mm: Best for seating plans with lots of names or large welcome signs.
• A2 – 420 × 594mm: Suitable for smaller weddings, simple table plans and directional signs.
• A3 – 297 × 420mm: Best for smaller signs, photographs or information displayed on a table.

Creating Your Design

You can design your sign yourself or purchase an editable template from Canva or Etsy. Before ordering, check that the design matches the finished size you require and that all names, table numbers, dates and spellings are correct.  Avoid placing important text too close to the edge. Small or thin lettering may also be difficult to read from a distance, particularly on a busy seating plan.

Supplying Your Artwork

A press-quality PDF is the preferred file format. For edge-to-edge printing, please include 3mm bleed around every side.  High-quality JPEG and TIFF files are also suitable. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Publisher files are accepted, although their layouts can sometimes change between computers.  Our artwork guide here explains how to prepare and export your file correctly.  Wedding signs are much larger than they appear on screen. Zoom into your artwork to check that photographs, logos and decorative elements remain clear and are not pixelated.  We check every file before printing and will contact you if we notice an obvious issue.  You will also receive a PDF proof to approve before production begins.

Foamboard and Lamination

Our signs are printed onto lightweight 5mm foamboard for indoor use. Every foamboard print is laminated as standard for additional protection and a more professional finish.

• Gloss lamination: A shiny, wipe-clean finish that makes colours appear brighter.
• Matt lamination: A smooth, non-reflective finish that works well under venue lighting and in photographs.

Foamboard is not waterproof and should not be left outdoors or exposed to rain.

Turnaround and Delivery

Production normally takes one working day after your PDF proof has been approved.  Smaller signs can usually be sent by standard nationwide delivery. A1 foamboards are available for collection or can be delivered using a suitable local or same-day courier by quotation.  For urgent wedding and event orders, please contact us before ordering. Same-day or next-working-day collection may be possible when print-ready artwork is supplied.
