Schools and Education: Comprehensive Printing Services
Schools, colleges and training providers regularly need printed materials for lessons, assessments, administration and events. Planning the specification carefully helps keep costs controlled and ensures everything arrives in the correct order.
Mock exam papers and assessment materials
Mock exam paper printing is usually produced as black-and-white A4 folded and stapled booklets. Colour can be used for subjects containing maps, photographs or diagrams where the information may be unclear in greyscale. When requesting a quote, provide:
- Each paper as a separate PDF
- The number of copies required
- Colour or black-and-white instructions
- Any answer booklets or inserts
- The delivery deadline
- Packing or labelling requirements
Adding the quantity to each filename, such as GCSE Maths Paper 1 – 80 copies, makes larger orders easier to check and process. Papers can also be packed and labelled by subject, year group or department.
Workbooks, handouts and teaching materials
Use document printing for worksheets, lesson packs, revision notes and loose-leaf handouts. Stapled booklets are suitable for shorter workbooks, examination papers and course notes. Wire-bound booklets work well for longer manuals, handbooks and workbooks that need to open flat. Before ordering, check the page order, final page count and whether colour is necessary throughout. Using colour only where it is needed can reduce the overall cost.
Newsletters, certificates and displays
Printed newsletters can be produced as folded or corner-stapled documents for parent updates, termly news and school events. Certificates are useful for attendance, achievement, awards and training. When supplying personalised names, use a clearly labelled spreadsheet and check spelling and capitalisation carefully. For open days, assemblies and classroom displays, indoor posters provide a clear way to present information at A3, A2, A1 or A0 size.
Forms and administrative printing
Schools can use plain paper forms for surveys, checklists, consent forms and records. Where an immediate duplicate copy is needed, NCR pads and forms are suitable for incident reports, detention slips, receipts and other handwritten records. For larger or more complex orders, materials can be collated into sets, hole-punched, divided into sections or placed into presentation binders with printed covers and spine labels.
Preparing and sending your files
PDF is the preferred format because it preserves the page size, fonts and layout. Name files clearly and include the required quantity, printing instructions and deadline. Large or multiple files can be sent through our WeTransfer upload page. We will review the requirements and provide a quotation before production.
