Preparing court bundles to print

A quick guide for solicitors and legal professionals

Preparing solicitors’ bundles for court can be complex and time-consuming — but it doesn’t have to be.  We print hundreds of court bundles every year for law firms, barristers, and individuals. Here are some practical tips to make the process smoother and stress-free — and how we can help you get everything printed, assembled, and delivered on time.

Organise and prepare your files

Start by gathering all the necessary documents in the correct order.  Ensure nothing is missing — statements, exhibits, indexes, and appendices — before sending to print.  If your bundle includes mixed-format files (Word, Excel, images, PDFs), combine and label them clearly to avoid confusion later.

Save as a PDF and add navigation aids

Once your documents are finalised, save your bundle as a single PDF.  Double-check pagination, section titles, and the order of contents.  For professional presentation, consider adding:

  • A cover page and contents page

  • Page numbers throughout

  • Section dividers or chapter headings

Print format and finishing options

We tend to print bundles:

  • A4, Black & white (unless colour is essential)

  • Double-sided

  • Two-hole drilled

We can also print A5 and A3 bundles although the turnaround time may be slightly longer.  You can also choose numbered, alphabet, or plain tabs to separate sections — we always keep plenty in stock.  Each lever-arch file holds around 350 pages, so larger cases may require multiple volumes.  We’ll email you a PDF proof of the spine labels for your approval before printing, ensuring everything looks neat and professional.

Submitting your files for printing

Once your bundle is ready, simply email your PDF to us or upload it hereInclude the following details for an accurate quote:

  • Number of sets required

  • Colour or black-and-white printing

  • Approximate number of sections (so we can prepare the right number of dividers)

  • Delivery address and deadline (especially if same-day delivery is needed)

We’ll reply quickly with a detailed quotation and turnaround time. Most orders are processed the same day.
